Kyley's 1st Haircut

Yes, Kyley is going to be 3 in less than 3 months, but she just had her first haircut. Heck...she just started getting a bunch of hair lol! However, mommy's hairstylist said it would be beneficial to cut off the ends in order to help it grow and be healthy. She actually told mommy to just do it at bath time, but HA that was not happening.

So, Kyley had her first haircut last week.  It was so cool because daddy happened to be down the street at the dentist so he stopped by.
And, yes...those are pigtails!!!

Just being a girl

Mommy has said it before and will say it a million times.  Kyley is all girl.
She loves her dress up clothes, and she even loves to carry on imaginary conversations on the phone in her kitchen.
She loves to try on mommy's clothes.
Kyley loves to indulge in her chocolate.
She just loves being a girl and a kid!

Princess Catness...

...or Katniss, according to the Hunger Games (which we think her original owners named her after) joined our family just over 3 weeks ago.  Either way Kyley has been wanting a kitty for a long time.   Mommy and daddy have tried to convince her otherwise but no matter what she wanted a kitty.  Well, after weeks of searching for the right kitty...we found Catness (renamed Princess Catness by Kyley).

Most of the other kittens we found either hissed or ran away from Kyley...or they were obviously just plan afraid of her.  Princess Catness was her soul mate, and mommy saw it from the moment they met. Kyley walked right in, they made contact, bumped heads, and the rest was history.
Kyley loves her kitty, and her kitty loves her.  Princess sleeps with Kyley in her bed, and she lets Kyley do things to her a normal cat would bite and claw her way out of.
Princess drops to the floor for Kyley to pet her and chases her around to play.
Mommy and daddy were not sure about another cat after the late Mr. Kitty (may he rest in peace) and the evil Freddy (happy at his new home), but they could not be happier with Princess Catness.  She is one happy kitty, and they have one happy little girl.

Play Guitar

It is no secret that Kyley loves music.  She loves to sing, dance and play any instrument real or fake.  Mommy and daddy sing and dance day and night.  Kyley has been saying she wanted a guitar from about the time she could talk.  So mommy and daddy didn't think it was fair to hold her back from reaching her dreams...I mean come on...she could be the next Taylor Swift or Sheryl Crow right?

A visit from Flat Stanley

Kyley's cousin, Luke, sent Flat Stanley to visit us in Wichita, KS for his class project.  And, my oh my was Kyley so curious about him.  Mommy sat down and explained that we had to take Flat Stanley with us wherever we went for the week and then share our experiences with Luke to share with his class.
Well, she caught on pretty quickly.  We had some items to return to Cabela's so she asked if we could take him there.  How fun was that...Flat Stanley got to see all kinds of wild animals and fish!
Another fun thing mommy and Kyley did was take Flat Stanley to Exploration Place with them.  He got to fly an airplane, stand in a tornado, see the Keeper of the Plains & the Arkansas River, play with a knight, drive a tractor, etc.
The whole concept of Flat Stanley is so fun, and it was so fun for Kyley to be a part of it.  It is all about the imagination and being creative, and she already loves it!

Daddy time

Kyley and mommy spend a lot of time together, and they are so blessed to be able to.  By the looks on their faces sometimes maybe it is too much lol!  But daddy time is extra special, especially EXTRA daddy time.
Kyley loved being able to take daddy to Exploration Place and show him all of her favorite things....and maybe show off just a little!
Daddy showed Kyley how to play with Play-doh, and they both had a blast!
They even get some exercise together!
Daddy thought it was necessary to spend some time explaining the value of money to Kyley.  She is in a phase of swiping cards to buy things, so he thought it was necessary to take care of that now.  Kyley seemed to get a kick out of whatever he was telling her!
Kyley sure loves her daddy, and she knows when the weekend is here and she gets full time daddy time!
Here is to another fun filled weekend!

Christmas in January!

When you come from a large family like mommy does...you get to celebrate Christmas well past the actual holiday!  Kyley had no problem with this, but she may think Santa is coming again a lot sooner than he really is.
She loved opening the gifts that came delivered to our door!
Kyley had so much fun at Auntie Kimmy and Uncle Darby's house.  We don't get to see them at Christmas, so we made a weekend visit to Kearney.
She loved opening all of the unnecessary but wonderful gifts.  Kyley TRULY loves anything and everything.  She is not yet the kid that opens clothes and sighs and throws them off to the side...she loves clothes just like her mommy!
And she loved the extra snuggle time she got with her sweet baby cousin, Aubrey! We really wish her cousins lived closer:(!
Mommy, daddy and Kyley hope that you all had a wonderful holiday season and spent as much time with your loved ones as we were able to!
