Sassy and Classy

Little girls are so much fun...especially if you like all the frill, clothes, pink and fluff!  Kyley and her mommy sure do, and her daddy does not seem to mind too much either.

Kyley loves to have tea parties.  She has 3 different tea sets, and a tea party takes place minimum 2 times a day.  Kyley will ask her mommy and daddy to have tea parties in the middle of the kitchen floor, hallway...wherever she can catch us.

Lately, Kyley has been helping pick out her clothes in the morning.  She loves wearing her boots with any combination of clothes...even her dresses.

Kyley also loves to sport her Kansas hoodie sweatshirt, and it is hard not to let her.  Can she be more adorable?

She is full of sass and class...look out!

Spring Break Staycation

Last week while many people were starting their Spring Breaks and heading out of town, Kyley and Mommy had some fun in Wichita.  Daddy took off Wednesday for his yearly trip to Las Vegas for March Madness with Grandpa Bob and Uncle Brian.  We had a fun time just us girls, but we sure missed daddy too!  Although it was REALLY windy here, we still got out and did a few fun things.

We spent almost every waking hour sitting on the deck and playing!
We colored every morning and some evenings too!
We watched a little tv!

Mommy and Kyley made a trip to the zoo, and Kyley had so much fun watching the baby monkeys and all of the gorillas...they were her favorite!

We had fun with friends at home and a quick dinner on St. Patrick's Day!

We had a great time walking and playing at Sedgwick County Park too!

Spring has Sprung

Well, it sure does not seem like we really had a true Winter, but the Kubik's are not complaining.  Kyley loves being outside, and we have to go outside every day.  The only thing that has stopped us lately is pouring rain.

We go for walks and all that fun stuff, but we also have to go play on the deck.  She does not even want to nap lately because she wants to play outside.

Kyley got to touch snow for the first time this year in the midst of all this great weather, and she was really getting a kick out of how cold it was.  If it really was snow...it was more like a snow/hail mixture and it only stuck around an extra day due to the shading of the house!  The next day it was 72 degrees.

She is sure loving the 70's and 80's as well as her mommy and daddy.  We could do without the wind, but it is Kansas!

She can win you over with a smile!

It has been said before, but Kyley can just look at her mommy and daddy and get what she wants.  A strict no turns into a yes when she gives you one of her many looks or starts babbling.  Although her babbles are not so much babbles instead they are 3 and 4 word sentences that makes it even sweeter!
Seriously, why does she need to play in the fridge?  It happens VERY rarely anymore but it has happened!
Kyley loves to play and she has a story to tell about every animal and toy!
She clearly knows what money is and where it goes, but she still loves to practice with her toy piggy bank!
Kyley gets really annoyed with all the picture taking...has a bit of a personality!!
She is always on the move, and she sure looks cute for being at home playing doesn't she?
Kyley loves playing in the cupboard.  She nicely asks please before she terrorizes it.  On another note, she is always eating something out of it!  She definitely goes in with a purpose!
She makes dancing on the tennis racket look like it is okay to do.
And, this is her look of "I wasn't doing anything wrong."
If she doesn't get help right away she will just pick up things and move them on her own...a bit impatient and stubborn maybe?
Mommy and daddy are so proud of her.  She truly can recognize all 26 letter books and the pictures associated with them.  Kyley will also recognize them outside of this box of books too...so not all memorization!
Kyley likes silliness and she definitely will be a thrill seeker.  Mommy and daddy better get ready to ride all of those roller coasters!  She knows she will get a yes every time!

A quick little trip South for the Winter!

Technically, it was still winter when we headed South a few weekends ago!  And, it still is Winter for a few more days, but it sure has not felt like it in Wichita and it for sure did not in Little Rock, AR when we went to see the Brown's.

Kyley has always loved other kids, and she has always loved Austin.  But, we had not seen him for about 6 months so she was really interested in his every move this time.  She would sit and watch him, or she would get in her personal space.  Now, she NEVER does that and in fact she hates when other kids get in hers so it was quite comical to watch.  Austin was a trooper.  He is a boy, older than her and a busy bee himself.  But, he made time to give her the attention she needed or rather demanded!

Plus, Kyley definitely did not have a problem being "just one of the guys!"

We had no special events or plans while we were there.  Kyley just got to play and spend time with the Browns.  We went to her first real park.  She slid down the slide, had races with Austin and just wandered around aimlessly playing.  Sadly, the park ended with her first bonk on the head when she slipped on the cement on the rocks.  Kyley was fine in a minute except a bump on her head, but her mommy didn't get better than soon!

It is always fun to go visit friends but it is always sad to leave too!  Thankfully, we will get to see them again soon when they visit us in Wichita!
