So, her daddy said it best when he said "we are like the Christmas shoppers on Christmas Eve." We had been meaning to get to one of the pumpkin patches here for the past month, but every time we had plans to it was too windy, too cold, we were gone or she was too sick or tired. Well, we finally went at 4:30pm on Sunday, October 30th, and the pumpkin patch closed at 6pm for the year. How is that for last minute. Either way, we had such a great time...and it was way enough time for an 18 month old.
We went to Cox Farms here in Wichita. Kyley had soooo much fun. She loved the petting zoo with the goats, chickens, roosters, and two very sleepy deer. She played the duck picking game and won (for $4 of daddy's) a stuffed blue and white puppy. Kyley had her first fresh squeezed fair style lemonade (and would not stop saying "more")...we opted against the funnel cake lol. She took her first hayrack ride, walked in her first pumpkin patch and picked out her first pumpkin. Kyley was so excited to get to swing in the kids area and watch all the other kids. The minute she noticed it she said "walk" as she wanted down and in the action.
So, needless to say it was last minute. However, we had a wonderful time. It was no Vala's Pumpkin Patch like back home in Nebraska, but it was so worth the wait!
