The daily routine that the 3 of us have gotten used to for the past 11 months is slowly starting to change. While Kyley's doctor wants to give it another week or so before we take her in public due to still seeing some cases of RSV...we have started to take some baby steps. We will not and have not taken her into public places crowded with people, but we have tried to venture out of our "at home" daily routine. However, we still make time for her daily fix of "Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends"! Kyley thinks she is a big girl and likes to sit up on the couch by herself.
Kyley also got out for a Sunday drive with her daddy. She did pretty well for her first time;)! We were out running errands and had her in the car...taking turns, hanging with her and of course she had to get out of her car seat to play. The first thing she did when I handed her to him was grab on to the steering wheel like a pro. You never know...we may have a Danika Patrick on our hands!!!
Kyley finally got to meet "Nana". "Nana" is one of my close friends, Ashley's mother that takes care of her almost 2 year old twin boys. She has taken care of them since they were babies. We are so blessed that Nana has offered to take care of Kyley while I have work commitments during the week. Jason and a few of our wonderful close friends have been helping me out thus far, and I am forever grateful to them. However, we decided it was time to start introducing her to people and a normal routine. The really fun part about this is that she gets to play with the boys whom she will grow up with. They will even go to school together when they are older. Kyley had her first real play date with them Monday, and it was a hit! Plus, we will be spending a whole week with them on our first "multi-family" vacation in a month, so there was no better time than the present to get them acquainted. I think all 4 of them will truly enjoy it!
Last but not least Kyley and I's walks have become more frequent with the changing of the weather. It has stayed consistently warmer...another reason for the doctor's decision...to hold off until it did. The walks are turning into some jogging and running too which is a major bonus for mommy. Kyley really enjoys it too. She loves looking around at the trees, the birds, the houses...everything. The best part is that it is warmer so she does not have to be bundled up at all. I do keep the socks on for the walk, but the minute we get home they are back off. She loves to get out of her stroller, stretch out, roll around and suck on her feet lol! Could it get any better than this?
