Memorial Day Weekend 2012

Well, needless to say, Kyley was not happy on Memorial Day weekend because she did not get to go visit her Uncle Mike and Auntie Mallory as planned.  Mommy's real estate business has really been picking up lately as it is that time of year, and it did not allow them to leave town.   On top of that mommy caught a really bad cough/cold/sore throat....and then Kyley got it:(.   It would have been awful to get the mommy-to-be sick.  So, she was really not a happy camper.  Mommy and Daddy tried their best to make it a fun weekend at home for her though.  I think they did alright?
The weather was warm and VERY windy, so they could not take the boat out most of the weekend.  They made fun at home playing outside, dancing, and whatever else the little one wanted to do.  Mommy and daddy enjoyed the time with Kyley too!
Kyley went to visit Kyndal at Resthaven and gave her some new flowers.  It truly is a beautiful place, and it is so amazing to see all of the flags.  Surprisingly she seems to enjoy our visits, and mommy and daddy are glad they started taking her so young.  It is important for her to understand love, loss, life and death...right now she just understands the love and life part:)!
Finally, Mother Nature decided to calm the wind down on Monday.  So, as expected we got the boat out on the lake.  Kyley is very interested in driving right now...and checking out all the switches and buttons.  She also loves to go see all the people, animals, etc.  Mommy and daddy decided she needed to experience the real meaning of the lake experience.  So, we pulled up on the beach and off she went...straight into the water...fully clothed!  Kyley had so much fun getting her feet covered in sand and then walking in to rinse them off.  She loved seeing all of the people and showing off too.

Although it was not the weekend fun that was planned she made the best of it...and the short periods of active time she allowed before it was time to crash.  Kyley wore her little self right out, but she wasn't going to let this cold keep her down!
