Tagging along to Arizona

Well, mommy and daddy were 19 and 17 years old, respectively, when they flew in their first airplane.  Kyley has sure been a world traveler this past year, and she has become a frequent flyer.  She and mommy tagged along with daddy to a conference in Scottsdale, Arizona from February 17th through February 22nd.  Kyley truly is a wonderful, pleasant child to travel with UNTIL nap time has been far surpassed.  But, even then it is only a few minutes of fuss and she is out!

The weather was gorgeous in Scottsdale.  It was only in the high 60's most days, but with out the moisture and high winds of KS...that is PERFECT!  Kyley and mommy had so much fun with all of their girl time.  They did so many things that will be so fun to share.  And, Kyley learned some new tricks too!
Kyley learned how to open doors!

She discovered that ketchup on her french fries is yummy!

Kyley got to show mommy and daddy how good of a swimmer she is.
She was so excited to discover that her love "rocks" were in masses outside of our room!
Kyley really took "walking" to a new level, and she loved going for walks with her daddy!
They would "hunt" for rabbits and quail that sat outside our room everyday.

She made sure that we both had time to read with her everyday.

Kyley sure thought all of the water fountains were the coolest things ever!
She was mommy's special dinner date...the cutest one ever!  She turned everyone's heads and got lots of smiles as always!
And...she got sick again on our trip...blame it on the planes and airports!

Despite the cold and whatever was causing a fever...we still had lots of fun!  We visited Railroad Park and rode on a train!
She rode on a carousel...not happy that I wouldn't let her on a horse, but it was impossible with her and her bag...and my clumsiness!

Kyley loved all the trains and seeing all of the people too!
We had girls nights in bed with cheerios and m&m's...this may have turned into a morning snack though this particular time!
She started walking with her hands behind her back and taking wide steps...it was so adorable!  Must have been the carpet or the fact that it was vacation as we haven't seen much of it at home!
And...we got to enjoy the beautiful scenery on our daily walks.

Unfortunately, we do not have pictures of everything as we were so excited we forgot to get the camera out.   Kyley got to visit the Dames's in Phoenix while we were there.  Talin is 3 1/2 and his twins siblings, Chase and Brooklyn, were just 3 weeks old.  His mommy and daddy, Jill and Wayne, were high school friends of Kyley's mommy.  It had been a long time, and it was such a nice visit.  We really enjoyed seeing and meeting all of them!  We cannot wait to tag along with daddy again next year!
