National Prematurity Awareness 2012

November is National Prematurity Awareness Month and more specifically this coming Saturday, November 17th, is World Prematurity Day.  The March of Dimes takes this time to focus on making people aware of the fact that too many babies are born premature.  In the US alone 1 in 8 babies is born prematurely, and they are focusing their efforts on helping families have full term, healthy babies.  It is our job to help spread the word on premature birth.  Visit www.marchofdimes.com for more information or to see how you can help!
Kyley Denise was a preemie.  She was born almost 14 weeks too soon, and she spent 10 weeks in the NICU.  Mommy and daddy cannot believe how much time has passed, and she brings a smile to their faces everyday!  Kyley is a happy, healthy 2 1/2 year old.  Our family was blessed with her life and silly, energetic personality.
Mommy, daddy and Kyley still visit her twin sister, Kyndal Desarae, quite often.  It is important for her to understand and someday she will.  Sometimes mommy and daddy think she already understands too much about her angel:)!  She loves to go to the cemetery, take Kyndal gifts, talk to her and blow her kisses.  Love and faith are amazingly powerful!
