Is it really Fall???

You would never know by the gorgeous weather that it is Fall.  Kyley and mommy have been taking advantage of the 70+ degree temps and getting outside.  The only way we know it is Fall is by the fallen leaves, gorgeous colors of trees, and all of the great decorations on the houses.  

Kyley and mommy take a walk every day if we can to look at all the pretty Fall decor.  She also plays in the backyard and on the swing set every chance she gets.  Kyley could swing for hours!  She loves to look at the clouds and watch the airplanes cross overhead.

Kyley loves the moon.  Mommy and daddy are always on the hunt for the moon...during the day, night, rain, clouds...it does not matter.  Kyley picks out the moon in every book, magazine, show, etc.  Mommy and daddy now know more about the moon and it's phases than they every imagined.  

Kids are amazing!  Fall is amazing!  We love this time of year!

Our trip to Pierre, SD...FINALLY!!

Kyley's cousin, Aubrey Ray Smith, was born on October 1st.  Mommy and Kyley had planned a few months back to fly in on the 10th, daddy would drive up on the 12th and we would all drive home together.  Well, Aubrey was warm and cozy in her momma's belly, so we were worried we were going to have to reschedule.  BUT she made her appearance and we were so excited to make the trip North!

Kyley had such a great time.  Not only had she been so excited to "hold" and "help feed" baby Aubrey, but she sure loves her Auntie Mallory and Uncle Mike.  Grandma Barb & Barney came for the weekend to meet Aubrey so she got to have fun with them too!

She may have given them a taste of a toddler too as she was nonstop, inquisitive and not very quiet!  Kyley just couldn't control her excitement because she was having so much fun. She got to help Uncle Mike give the kitty cat, Ari, treats...and man was that a hoot.  Poor kitty was definitely ready for Kyley to leave!

Kyley visited Uncle Mike at work, and she loved all the deer and fish on the walls.  She also had so much fun exploring and learning at the Discovery Center.  Kyley loved being inside the bubble, digging for fossils in the sand and looking at all the cool stuff.  She never knew what to do next!

Since we flew we did not bring a ton of toys, and Kyley somehow convinced Aunt Mallory to let her play with Aubrey's toys.  However, Kyley seemed to have fun playing with Uncle Mike and Aunt Mallory's treasures and toys the most!  

Mommy, daddy and Kyley slept in a beautiful hotel on the two weekend nights, and we managed to find some time to let Kyley have some more fun and burn off some energy. They had an indoor watermark that Kyley LOVED.  

The weather was beautiful.  The baby was adorable.  The trip was relaxing and fun!  And, it was so hard to leave the 3 of them!  Kyley can't stop talking about them, and she is looking forward to the holidays!

Brrrr...a cold start to October

October started out chilly.  Kyley and mommy still got outside, but it seemed quite odd to be playing with sand toys all bundled up lol!  Kyley didn't seem to mind it...it is so crazy how the weather barely phases kids!  She loves to run around and explore in the yard, check out bugs, look for rocks or anything new!

It was even colder when we made a last minute trip to Nebraska while daddy was in Vegas with Uncle Brian and Grandpa Bob.  Mommy and Kyley visited the Meyers, Great Aunt Dale, Great Aunt Deanna, Cousin Ali and Great Grandma.  Kyley had soooo much fun getting to play with the big kids this time.  And, she still loves the little ones too!

Kyley got to have a sleep over with her cousins Morgan, Zane, Luke, Tori and Josh.   She didn't really get to sleep with them, but she had a hoot playing with them!

The original plan was to go to Vala's pumpkin patch, but the weather and timing did not work out right for this toddler!  So, we went to the Amazing Pizza Machine instead.  Kyley loved the games and the rides.  She went on the carousel and train about 50 times!

It was a fun, cool weekend and Kyley was tuckered out for the trip home!

End of Summer fun

Although we are still having some gorgeous days...Summer is officially over and Fall has set in!  However, Kyley wanted to share some last fun photo moments she had this Summer.

Kyley loves to goof around.  She never used a pacifier, but she sure thinks it is cute to use one now!

She loves suckers and cookies...what kid doesn't!  The problem is that mommy has a hard time saying no!

Mommy ordered her some new boots for the Fall/Winter, and Kyley immediately had to try them out!  She cannot wait to wear them more often!

Kyley, mommy and daddy went to the Beckers to celebrate Robert's birthday...and of course cheer on the Huskers.  Kyley loves playing with the girls and they love her too!

Daddy got to join us again at the zoo (this is a rare occasion) and Kyley was thrilled.  She had been waiting to show him the jungle which is her new favorite exhibit!  They had a great time feeding the fish too!

Mommy and Kyley try to spend a little time outdoors as often as possible, and Kyley really loves to swing!

It is an old saying that "time flies when you are having fun," but it is so true...Kyley sure has fun and mommy and daddy do too!
